In the first quarter of 2025, the film and television app landscape on Android in Central America showcased diverse user engagement and download trends. Here's a closer look at the top-performing applications based on data from Sensor Tower.

Cinépolis experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at 43.2K in early January and reaching a peak of 76.3K by the end of March. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users peaking at approximately 2.4M at both the start and end of the quarter.

Cinépolis El Salvador, a newer entry in the market, showed a steady download rate post-launch, with numbers ranging from 1K to 1.6K per week in March.

Cinépolis Go demonstrated impressive growth in weekly downloads, surging from 167.9K to over 530K in the final week of March. This translated into a significant increase in active users, climbing from 160.4K to 636.9K in the same period.
